Basu Smriti Parishad has honored playwright Man Bahadur Mukhia, poet Bimal Vaidya, and poet Sandhya Pahadi with awards and recognition on the occasion of the 89th birth anniversary of renowned Nepali literary figure Basu Shashi, The awards were presented during a program held at Dalo Restaurant, Anamnagar. Filmmaker and writer Yadav Kharel presented the Basu Shashi Sahitya Samman 2081 to Mukhia, commending his contributions to Nepali theatre.
During the same event, 40s-era poet Bimal Vaidya was conferred the Basu Shashi Sahitya Puraskar 2081, while 50s-era poet Sandhya Pahadi received the Krishna-Saraswati Sahitya Puraskar 2081. Both awards include a cash prize of NPR 25,000.
