Bagmati Province Youth Council, in collaboration with Sahitya Sargam Makwanpur, has announced for the poetry competition through a press release issued on 8th of Aswin, 2080. The announcement reads that the winners of the competition will be cashed prized with 100000 rupees.
The council has asked the interested poets to submit their Nepali poem on any subject before 22nd of Ashwin, 2080. The statement also claims that only the poet below 40 years is eligible for the competition. The poets are also directed to compose their poem in not more than 150 words as said in the notice. Along with the poem, the participants are also requested to send an official document revealing the age of the participant and his/her bio data. The council will select 20 poems in the first round and then follows for the final through poetry recital for which the concerned poet should be physically present, reads the statement.
As per the notice, the participants standing the first, second, third and fourth in the competition will be awarded with cash prize 40000, 30000, 20000 and 10000 rupees respectively along with the citations for each.
