Nepal Srasta Samaj has decided to confer this year’s ‘Yogmaya Rastriya Nari Srasta Samman’ and ‘Yogmaya Neupane Abhiyanta Rastriya Samman’ to Dang-based writer Shanta Chaudhari and Biratnagar-based writer Kabita Chapagai, respectively.
Established in 2075 by litterateur Paban Alko, the ‘Yogmaya Rastriya Nari Srasta Samman’ includes a cash prize of 25,000 rupees along with a citation. So far, five creative writers have been honored with this award.
Similarly, the ‘Yogmaya Neupane Abhiyanta Rastriya Samman,’ established by philanthropists Rajesh Neupane and Kedar Neupane in 2065, carries a cash prize of 50,000 rupees. Fifteen writers have been honored with this award so far.
Shree Om Rodan, president of Nepal Srasta Samaj, informed that the awards will be presented to the honorees on July 6, coinciding with ‘Yogmaya Day.’
