Usha K.C.’s Novel ‘Hiunphool’ Launched

Novelist Usha K.C.’s latest novel Hiunphool has been released amidst a special ceremony during an event organized by Literary Journalists’ Association.The event, attended by prominent literary figures including scholar Prof. Dr. Dayaram Shrestha, featured a collective unveiling of the book by Chief Guest Shrestha and other distinguished guests on stage.

The program was chaired by Radheshyam Lekali, President of the Literary Journalists’ Association. Literary critics Pramod Pradhan and Geeta Tripathi reviewed the novel, highlighting its themes, narrative style, and literary significance.

During the ceremony, the Literary Journalists’ Association honored novelist Usha K.C. with a letter of appreciation and a token of love. Similarly, newly elected chairman of Sajha Publications, poet Shekhar Giri, was also felicitated with a token of love and congratulatory remarks.

The event commenced with Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Dayaram Shrestha lighting the ceremonial lamp. Remarks were shared by President Lekali, Keshav Parajuli from the publishing house Bhundipurana, former president of the Literary Journalists’ Association Narendra Bahadur Shrestha, President of the Novel Society Nepal Shankar Bharti, writer Jitendra Rasik, and novelist Usha K.C.

The presence of notable literary figures such as fiction writers Hiranyakumari Pathak and Kishor Pahadi, critic Prof. Dr. Govindaman Singh Karki, Dr. Krishna Prasad Dahal, Viyogi Budhathoki, Pawan Alok, and many others further enriched the event. Poet Bhairavi Bhugol hosted the ceremony.

Usha K.C. has previously published Ushako Prahar (a collection of muktak poems, 2020) and Makuri (another muktak collection, 2022). Her novel Hiunphool is expected to mark a new milestone in her literary journey. Attendees expressed optimism and enthusiasm for the book.
