Poet and lyricist Urmila Koirala’s debut poetry collection ‘Gham Mathi Ghamkai Kiran’ is set to be published through Sahityapost. The publication of Koirala’s work has been arranged by Shabda Media Pvt. Ltd., the parent organization of popular literary portal Sahityapost.com.
Koirala is known for her work in poetry and lyrics. Previously, her collection of songs titled ‘Dilko Gajura’ has been published and now she is preparing to bring her first poetry collection “Ghammathi Ghamkai Kiran” through Sahityapost. In the collection, Koirala encapsulates women’s narratives, contemporary issues, and a sense of detachment from time. According to her, the diversity of subjects is the main feature of her collection. She states, “In it, there is the main feature of women’s narratives, life philosophies, contemporary issues, and a sense of detachment from time. I am trying to uplift the poetic consciousness to love life and seek to live it.”
Koirala also stated that Sahityapost is not only the literary journal that has contributed to her book’s publication, but also a literary campaign underway. She acknowledges, “Sahityatost is becoming the main flow of literature at the present time. By publishing my book through Sahityapost, it is my desire to be a part of this literary campaign.”
Koirala’s book’s publication through Sahitya Post has also been confirmed by the Chief Editor of Sahityapost Ashwini Koirala. He said, “Urmila Ji’s poetry and songs present deep emotions and issues in a simple and poetic manner. We are grateful to her for believing in us for the publication of her work. With experimenting with new forms of poetry, we are hopeful for her revolutionary presence in literature.”
‘Gham Mathi Ghamkai Kiran’ will be available in the market from the last week of Chaitra (Early-April), informed Shabd Media Pvt. Ltd.
