Two Books Simultaneously Released in Palpa: ‘Ghussa’ and ‘Rara ko Dilma’

Litterateurs Ram Prasad Aryal’s satirical essay collection “Ghussa” and Prof. Dr. Kapil Lamichhane’s travelogue “Rara ko Dilma” were simultaneously released amid a literary program held in Palpa.

The book launch event, organized by Taranga Sahitya Sangam, was attended by various literary personalities, including Nepal’s former Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradip Gyawali as the chief guest.

Speaking at the event, Gyawali, who is also a writer, discussed the differences between photography and literature and applauded the role of a literary artist in recreating society, not merely reflecting it. Regarding Lamichhane’s “Rara ko Dilma,” Gyawali said that author Lamichhane has made the readers travel along with him through his travelogue. He also appraised Aryal’s essay collection as an appropriate satire upon contemporary Nepali society.

“Life is full of journey and our activities too. I have presented the those journey in the form of essays,” said author Lamichhane in the program.

Author Aryal said that his collection “Ghussa” discusses the way out for the different social misconducts. The program was presided over by Sangam’s chairperson Radhakrishna Sharma.
