Kavidanda Sahitya Samaj has announced the longlist of 10 books for the Kavidanda National Fiction Award 2081 through a press release on Tuesday. According to a press statement issued by Samaj, the selection was made by a jury panel after evaluating Nepali fictional works published within the Nepali year 2081. The longlist includes both novels and short story collections. The selected works are:

The titles were selected based on criteria such as literary merit, social relevance, language use, and creative originality. From this list, a shortlist of five books will be released in the next round, followed by the final selection of one outstanding work to receive the Kavidanda National Fiction Award 2081.
