Bhairav Puraskar Guthi has announced the names of the recipients of its three literary awards established in memory of Bhairav Aryal, one of the most celebrated literary figure in satirical essays.
According to a notice issued by the Guthi, Bhairav Puraskar for BS 2080 will be conferred on senior satirist Moon Poudel. Recipient Paudel will bag 111111 rupees as the award prize.
Similarly, Bhairv Byangya Puraskar worth 111111 rupees will be presented to Prof. Dr. Abhi Subedi as announced by Guthi. Meanwhile, the Guthi has also decided to honour Badri Prasad Dahal (Bhasmasur) with Bhairav Prativa Puraskar. He will receive 51111 rupees as the award prize.
The Guthi had formed a selection committee under litterateur Narendraraj Paudel’s leadership. Baburam Paudel and Basanta Rijal were the members of the committee.
The awards will be distributed on Friday, 19th of Ashwin on Bhairab Aryal memorial day organizing a literary program, said Basanta Rijal, the secretary of Bhairav Puraskar Guthi. The annual convention of Guthi will be held on the same day, Rijal revealed.
