The Grandeur of Triyuga College!

Rabindra Shahi

To most of the parents and students alike who perennially hunt for the quality and high-end education, Kathmandu more often than not is a first and foremost choice. However, there are remarkable institutions beyond the capital that offer exceptional educational standards along with impressive physical infrastructure and a nurturing environment. One such institution is Triyuga Janata Multiple Campus, located in Gaighat, Udayapur district, standing as a beacon of academic excellence harmonized with nature’s beauty.

The college is ensconced and snugly nestled amid the environmentalized, lush green nursery woods and well- trimmed gardenized lawns where the woods is populated with tall, slim sal trees and bamboo groves, whilst the well-laid-out lawns are with a wide range of flowers like chinese palms, bougainvilleas, jacarandas, cypresses, chrysanthemums, chrotons, amaranthuses, vine creepers, jasmines and so on and so forth. The unmetalled road right from the campus gate to campus- center is flanked by different trees on both of its sides, thus presenting a tunnel- like impression to its wayfarers- much to an exclamation of their awe and wonder! An amazing and spectacular scene in deed seeming to be beckoning you with an infectious smile! What is more, a shrine called “MUDHKATTA MANDIR” which lies at the heart of the campus is a patron deity -with its quite, silent blessings -always ever showering its constant divinity and godly protection upon the college. Here, one invariably feels the invisible presence of the deity being the fount of serenity, tranquility, piety and religiosity, and the muted chanting of Buddhist mantras ‘Om Mani Pedme Hum!’Such is the blissful and peaceful feeling aroused in the hearts of college inmates and visitors alike!

The idyllic serenity, the pristine ambience and the picturesque landscape with a clear, dark blue sky overhead especially during the autumn drive any college visitors crazy and mad! Such is the charm of the college, such is the hypnotic effect and such is the sheer bliss one derives from our college! This pen- pusher has not found anyone so far who has not been agog with admiration for the natural beauty of the campus. It is, moreover, far from the madding crowd as it lies at a fair distance from the main highway and away from any tumult and cacophony of human settlements nearby. No hustle- bustle, no noise, no rumpus whatsoever in the campus!

Like Wordsworth’s Lucy, the college stands in the midst of nature, growing into a full blooming maiden with inherent capacity to inspire in college visitors an endless peace and undying memory. Up close downward towards the north from the administration building lies a sizeable, beautiful greenish pond surrounded around with various fruit trees like guavas, bananas, jackfruits, mangoes, pineapples, peaches, and other trees like ticks, willows and all that. More relaxing and serene things out there in the environmentalized, well-planned campus premises like the smell of fresh and pure, clean air, the orchestra of birdsongs reverberating in the green foliage of trees, butterflies and dragonflies zooming about in their gay abandon and enchanting views of floating, wandering cloud flakes across the firmament unfailingly come to greet and soothe our stressed mind and agonized heart, providing you with an indescribable feeling of happiness overcoming your being, and thereby placing you completely at peace.

So far as its physical infrastructure is concerned, the campus boasts of its three state of the art buildings: Degree Bhavan, Kala Bhavan and administration building which has housed library and administration section. The college possesses as its fixed assets and properties culture hall, canteen hall, gallery hall, FSU building and the previously used, utilized and mobilized 18 classroom blocks.

Sprawling and spread over the stretch of more than just 9 bighas of land, it regularly and periodically organizes effective co-curricular activities and extensive extra-curricular activities with a view to enriching and developing each student individually in order that they will be a responsible citizen in the global community. The campus, these things apart, does maintain badminton court, tennis court, basketball court, volleyball court, and cricket cum football ground within its vast premises- all along aiming to produce physically able-bodied, healthy and strong citizenry, vitally necessary for the headway of a nation. The round- the- clock clean drinking water supply, the cutting- edge technology for classroom teaching, the cash prize distribution to class toppers in every terminal exam, the facilities and perks to its faculties and staff on a par with TU, and highly dedicated and veteran faculties are the hallmarks of the college. Despite the fact that the college is being plagued by varied chilling problems and daunting challenges, it still holds its robust, rosy future with its considerable aplomb and usual conviction.

Additionally, the college remains the” rainbow college” in terms of its teachers and students who hail from diverse and divergent communities as well as from various geographical territories. It is, in another word, a strong hub of communal and ethnic cohesion, it is a compelling destination for aspiring students, it is a distinguished and revered educational institution with its adoption of all-embracing education, thus etching its own unique history successfully. It is in this sense that it is a role- model to other colleges in every way! It is not an exaggeration, but a reality, the ground reality.

So, this faithfully yours urges you all to visit the campus at least once, feel the difference, experience the uniqueness, and notice its majesty to your knowledge and realization.
