Thai Film Festival Nepal 2024 from Aug 30 to Sept 1

Thai Film Festival Nepal-2024 is scheduled to take place in Kathmandu from August 30 to September 1. The Royal Thai Embassy in Nepal announced the three-day festival during a press conference held at the embassy on Monday.

Thai Ambassador Suwapong Sirisorn revealed that the festival is being organized to celebrate the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Thailand. The screenings will be held at the QFX Chhaya cinema hall, showcasing six films across various genres.

This year marks the fourth edition of the festival, which will feature an eclectic mix of drama, comedy, romance, horror, and films inspired by Thailand’s martial arts. The festival will open with “How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies,” a film based on a real-life story reflecting contemporary Thai society. Other films on the roster include “Pad Thai Movie,” “Together: The Movie,” “Undertaker,” “Dream a Little Dream,” and “Broken Sword Hero.”

Ambassador Sirisorn expressed his hope that the diverse selection of films will resonate with Nepali audiences. “The Thai Embassy is organizing this festival to celebrate the long-standing friendship between Nepal and Thailand and to connect with the Nepali people through the universal language of film,” he stated.
