Ten litterateurs have been honored with ‘Suchak Samman’ during a literary event organized to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Suchak Publication at Nepal Academy, Kathmandu.
The event held at Lekhnath Auditorium of Nepal Academy honored litterateurs Gita Karki, Gyanu Adhakari, Lila Devi Shrestha, Sapana Lamichhane, Dr. Renuka Solu, Basant Karki, Hemanta Kumar Karki and Dr. Sidartha Ranjit with ‘ Suchak Samman’ recognizing the contribution they made in Nepali art and literature.
Likewise, Journalist Jairam Bidari, poet Rashmi Rimal and critic Arun Khatri were presented with the Certificate of Appreciation during the event.
The event also honored litterateur Ellya Bhattrai and journalist Rajesh Khanal with ‘Captain Ratan Bahadur Lamichhane Award’ along with cash prize and a citation.
Educationist and social worker Kedarnath Shrestha and litterateur Jaleshwori Shrestha were among the special guest attendees of the event. While, the Chancellor of Nepal Academy Bhupal Rai was present as the chief guest of the event who appreciated the literary program for its concise and punctual procedure.
