Poet Taradevi Sunuwar’s ‘Yuddhabhumima Damiyeko Man’ has been launched. The book is a collection of experiences compiled during her time living in Rolpa as part of her professional life.
The book was unveiled on Saturday at an event held in a classroom at the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts by literary figures poet Dr. Navaraj Lamsal, travel writer Pratik Dhakal, poet Momila Joshi, story writer Dr. Ashok Thapa, and author Taradevi Sunuwar.
Poet Taradevi Sunuwar writes equally in Nepali and Sunuwar languages. She has previously published poetry collections in Nepali such as ‘Paristhiti’, ‘Aviral’, and the ghazal collection ‘Samjhankaa Phoolharu’. In the Sunuwar language, she has published ‘Dhun Thyaani Sangrah’, ‘Desh Mapathu Voi’, the poetry collection ‘Suya’, and the ghazal collection ‘Jhulpi Phu’.
The event was attended by senior essayist Yubaraj Nayanghare, writer and critic Mahesh Paudyal, and other literary figures including Madhu Acharya, Amarsingh Pun, Indramani Adhikari, Rajubabu Shrestha, Dr. Jivan Jivant, Bhawani Khatiwada, and Dr. Ambika Aryal. The book, published by Page Turner Pvt. Ltd., is priced at 550 rupees.
