Sushant Thapa, a Nepali poet writing in English, has published his fourth book of poems, Love’s Cradle from World Inkers Printing and Publishing New York, America and Dakar, Senegal, Africa. The book has been edited by Houston-based American Poet and Publisher Dustin Pickering.
Sushant has already published three poetry collections in English namely: The Poetic Burden and Other Poems (Authorspress, New Delhi, 2020), Abstraction and Other Poems (Impspired, UK, 2021) and Minutes of Merit (Haoajan, Kolkata, 2021). Sushant’s poems have been translated into Uzbek and Latin American Spanish. Poet Thapa has also written poems in Nepali and his book reviews have been published in The Rising Nepal and The Hemingway Post.
Love’s Cradle is a collection of 111 poems that delve into the themes of love, forgiveness, purpose, and masculinity.
Poet Thapa had been awarded Indology Best Poet Award 2022 from West Bengal, India for his debut book The Poetic Burden and Other Poems. He had recited his poems in Kalinga Literary Festival and other occasions.
Thapa is an M.A. in English Literature from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. He is involved in teaching English to BBA students at Nepal Business College, Biratnagar, Nepal. He is a permanent resident of Biratnagar-13, Malaya Road, Morang, Nepal.
