Poet Surya Lakoju’s latest poetry collection Ghamko Parkhal has been launched. The book was jointly unveiled during a ceremony by literary figures Dr. Govinda Raj Bhattarai, writer Mohan Duval, critic Dr. Kumar Koirala, Dhruv Madhikarmi, and poet Lakoju.
Speaking about the book, critic Dhruv Madhikarmi noted that poet Lakoju presents a reflection of contemporary Nepali society in his latest work. He said, “It also represents the voice of the youth forced to live in dissatisfaction and despair. The poetry collection is filled with human sensitivity and a sense of realism and is a worthy read in Nepali literature.”
Another critic, Dr. Kumar Koirala shared that although Surya’s poems appear simple, their depth and gravity are his unique qualities.
Distinguished guest, writer Mohan Duval, expressed that Lakoju’s poems are powerful.
Prof. Dr. Govinda Raj Bhattarai shared that the literary journey of Lokuju has reached far and is bright.
Surya Lakoju writes poetry, essays, haikus, travelogues, and translations. He has published over three dozen literary works and translated pieces.
