Surabhi Sahitya Pratishthan has announced four annual awards that are presented on the occasion of its foundation day.
As per the announcement, the Surabhi–Vijay Chalise Wangmaya Puraskar with a cash prize of NPR 51,000 will be awarded to Prof. Dr. Dayaram Shrestha Sambhav. The Surabhi–Rama–Badri Nibanda Puraskar worth NPR 25,000 will be conferred upon senior essayist and literary journalist Rochak Ghimire. Similarly, the Guruprasad Mainali–SurabhiAkhyan Puraskar carrying a prize of NPR 25,000 will go to story writer Kishwor Pahadi, while the Surabhi–Bajuram Akhyan Sadhana Puraskar of NPR 25,000 will be presented to storyteller Bhagirathi Shrestha.
A three-member award selection committee, chaired by literary figure Vijay Chalise, with critic Yubaraj Mainali and Surabhi Sahitya Pratishthan President Bajuram Paudel as members, was formed to select the awardees. The committee submitted its report with the names of the selected recipients, which was approved during the Pratishthan’s executive meeting held on Poush 20, 2081 BS.
The awards will be presented on Saturday, Magh 19, 2081 BS, as informed by the Pratishthan’s President, Bajuram Paudel.
