This year’s Kabidada Fiction Award has been presented to Devi Prasad Subedi for his novel titled Manu. The award was presented to critic and novelist Subedi during a literary function organized by Lamidada Literary Society, Chitwan on Saturday.
President of Lal Mina Foundation Mina Lamichhane and Society’s president LB Chettri together presented the award worth 1,25000 rupees to novelist Subedi along with a certificate of honor.
The Society had first selected 10 novels deemed worthy for the award on 23rd of Bhadra, following the shortlists of 5 novels in the second round before reaching the finalist.
Published by BookHills Publication, Subedi’s Manu deals with the socio-cultural context of Red Vedic period.
While novel Manu has also remained the winner of Padmashree Award 2079.
Established in 2060, Kabidada Literary Society has been carrying out various literary activities and awards since its establishment.
