Author Shanta Shakya’s Lailamaya Kway, a short story collection in Nepal Bhasa, has been launched at an event organized by Tansen Guthi.
The book was jointly released by senior Nepal Bhasa litterateur Phanindraratna Bajracharya, Chief Guest Devnath Gongal, and Guthi President Prami Shrestha during the Guthi’s 32nd General Assembly.
Senior writer Bajracharya remarked that Shakya’s short stories effectively capture various aspects of social life.
Chief Guest Gongal and Guthi President Shrestha extended their best wishes, expressing hope that Shakya’s writing would continue to improve and evolve.
In her remarks, author Shakya shared that this was her first attempt at writing in Nepal Bhasa and that the stories focus on different facets of social life.
Published by the Srijana Abhiyan Samaj, the collection contains 50 short stories on contemporary topics.
