Shree Om Shrestha ‘Rodan’ Unanimously Elected President of Nepal Srasta Samaj

Nepal Srasta Samaj has unanimously elected senior litterateur Shree Om Shrestha ‘Rodan’ as its president. He was elected during the 18th General Assembly and 10th Convention of the society. Senior litterateur Shree Om Shrestha ‘Rodan’ will lead the society for the next two years. The convention, held under the chief patronage of Bairagi Kainla, former Chancellor of Nepal Academy, also elected Dr. Shadananda Kandel as Vice President, Devika Timilsina as General Secretary, Tara Subedi as Treasurer, Prakash Ghayal as Secretary, and Madhu Pathak, Madhav Bidari, Ranjana Niraula, and Dr. Shantimaya Giri as members, all unopposed.

During the program held at the Nepal Academy, Bairagi Kainla praised the society for its significant contributions to the upliftment and development of Nepali literature and expressed his happiness that the society has been working towards strengthening the relationship between literature and culture abroad.

The event also observed important speeches by different distinguished guests and literary figures.

The Election Committee, chaired by Pawan Alok, with members Bidhan Acharya and Prof. Dr. Laxman Prasad Gautam, supervised the election. The unopposed office bearers and members were awarded certificates and sworn in by the Election Committee Chair.
