Renowned literary figure Narayan Godare passed away at 75. According to family sources, late Godare had been suffering from heart and respiratory ailments for a long time. The doctors at Chabahil-based Medicare Hospital, who had been attending to him, declared him dead at 9.04 p.m. on Sunday.
Narayan Godare’s published works include a poetry collection Matri (2051), an epic poetry Gajadi Bhangi (2052), a poetic journey account Savyatra Jari Chha (2057), epic poetry Siddhicharan Ek Ra Anek (2058), reflections Anahaka Uddarharu (2059), epic Swarashtraka Birendra (2059), epic poetry Kulchandra Ra Smriti (2060), and the epic Phool (2060). Additionally, around half a dozen of his works have remained unpublished.
Late Godare was honored with the B.D. Tyagi Smriti Award. He is survived by his wife and two children – a son, and a daughter.
