SahityaPost has announced the longlists of eight books for the prestigious ‘Sahityapost Best Non-Fiction Award 2081’. This award, carrying a purse of 50,000 rupees, is dedicated to recognizing debut authors in the non-fiction genre whose works were published within the year 2080.
The eight longlisted books for this esteemed award are as follows:
- Amarbhuti by Jigme Lama
- Khairaid by Rajendra Karki
- Fulbariko Juke Ganatantra by Ashtha Bhattrai
- Buddhakalin Samaj by Umakanta Paudel
- Vir Gau Dekhi Vir Chauri Samma by Chandramani Guragain
- Magar Sanskriti, Parampara ra Garima by Gom Bikram
- Ban, Samudaye ra Ma by Dr. Jagdish Chandra Baral
- Maile Padeko Kitab by Kunjun Suvechhu Luitel
The longlisting process was conducted by a distinguished jury, who meticulously reviewed 19 submissions from various sources to curate this impressive selection.
Following the longlists, the second round will feature the announcement of shortlists. From the shortlisted candidates, the best debut non-fiction book will be declared, and its author will be honored with ‘Sahityapost Best Non-Fiction Award 2081’.
