Sahityapost, an exclusively literary portal, is conducting a special show of the movie Mahanagar: One Night in Kathmandu for the writers and litterateurs. The movie will be displayed at the auditorium of Oscar International College, Sukedhara on October 15 at 5pm in the evening.
Editor-in-Chief of Sahityapost Aswini Koirala said that the award winning feature movie will specially be dedicated to the writers and authors, and that the event will also celebrate greeting exchange among the senior writers, columnists, readers and the well-wishers of Sahityapost on the occasion of Dashain festival.
Upholding the slogan ‘Cinema and Literature for the Social Transformation’, the production crew has also decided to offer the free display of the movie for the literary artists.
The movie features artists Menuka Pradhan and Karma Sakhya as the main characters and revolves around the story of struggling people who have come to metropolis Kathmandu from various places.
The movie has been screened in various national and internationals festivals with being nominated for various awards at different times. It has remained the winner of Nepal International Film Festival and has also received the honorable mention in the Nepal-America International Film Festival 2022.
