Sahityapost Invites Abstracts for Devkota, BP Koirala & Parijat Conference – Submit by July 16

Sahityapost invites abstracts for the upcoming International Conference on “Rereading Nepali History through Devkota, Koirala and Parijat,” to be held on September 5–6, 2025 (Bhadra 20–21), in Biratnagar, Morang. The deadline for abstract submission is July 16, 2025 (Asar 32).

The conference aims to critically explore how the literary works of Laxmi Prasad Devkota, B.P. Koirala, and Parijat offer alternative readings of Nepali social history. It will feature plenary sessions and individual and group (panel) paper presentations from intellectuals working on the aforementioned domain from Nepal and beyond.

The event is coordinated by Dr. Komal Phuyal and Mahesh Paudyal, lecturers at the Central Department of English, Tribhuvan University, and managed by Aswini Koirala, Editor-in-Chief of Sahityapost.

Scholars from Nepal and abroad with interest in the aforementioned domain may forward their abstracts (in 300–500 words) in Nepali or English for a 15-minute paper, along with a short bio-note (max. 150 words), latest by July 16, 2025.
