Classical music guru Gurudev Kamat passed away at his own home in Siraha this morning at 8 AM.
The 69-year-old Kamat’s funeral is planned for today. The funeral will take place once his eldest son, who is in Qatar, arrives home, according to family sources.
Gurudev Kamat, a highly respected name in classical music, had issues with both his kidneys. Recently, he had been receiving dialysis at home.
Kamat, who had been bedridden due to illness, had not eaten anything for the past four days.
Gurudev is survived by a spouse, three sons and a daughter.
