Remembering Rama Navami

Dharanidhar Adhikari

In the tender blush of spring’s embrace,
Where blossoms weave through nature’s lace,
The heralds of celestial cheer,
Proclaim that Rama Navami is here.

Born under the auspice of a holy star,
In ancient Ayodhya, revered afar,
Rama, the prince of Suryavanshi light,
A beacon of virtues shining bright.

With a bow as strong as his will unswayed,
Through forest deep and dark glade,
He walked the path of dharma true,
Where every step the divine virtues grew.

A king whose crown was but a guise,
For he was Vishnu in human eyes,
Whose saga tells of love and duty,
Embodied essence of inner beauty.

Rama, whose life is a timeless song,
Where love conquers, and rights the wrong,
Through trials that would falter many a heart,
Yet from his path, he’d never part.

On this day of joyous refrain,
We sing of Rama, again and again,
Of Sita, steadfast by his side,
In love and faith, where truth abides.

So light the lamps and let them sway,
In rows that flicker to night from day,
And chant the name of Rama dear,
For on this day, he is near.

Celebrate with sweets, the tales retold,
Of a hero greater than warriors of old,
Rama Navami, a day of delight,
Where hearts are kindled, spirits bright.

In each verse, his virtues bloom,
Rama, in hearts, forever resumes
A throne more grand than earthly claim,
An echo of the divine, a sacred flame.
