Ratnanagar Bangmaya Prathisthan has decided to honor litterateurs Dhanraj Giri, Laxman Aryal, and Rajendra Ghayal with this years’s Ratnanagar awards. As per the decision of the foundation, senior writer Dhanraj Giri will be honored with the Sumedhashree Puraskar. Similarly, writers Laxman Aryal and Rajendra Ghayal will receive the Ratnashree Puraskar.
Giri, who is widely recognized for his contributions to ghazals and stories, is a retired educator. In recent years, he has been writing across multiple genres, skillfully incorporating satire and sarcasm into his works. His published books include Pakhanda Puran, Nirvisha, and Saathi, among others.
Laxman Aryal is a well-known name in the fields of essays, short stories, and literary criticism. Engaged in the teaching profession, Aryal has published short story collections such as Aula and Durbin. Likewise, writer Rajendra Ghayal is primarily recognized as a poet. His poetry is known for its structured verse and sharp satire. His works include the satirical poetry collection Ghayalko Ghuentro and more than half a dozen other publications.
