The General Assembly of the Rastriya Sahitya Pratisthan, a literary foundation has elected a new executive committee under the leadership of poet Rishabhdev Ghimire.
Held in Kathmandu on Thursday, the assembly elected Dr. Shantimaya Giri as Vice President, Madhu Pathak as General Secretary, Suman Ghimire as Secretary, and Haribol Dhakal as Treasurer. Sushma Acharya, Chhabiraman Silwal, Dr. Srijana Sharma, and Pradeep Sapkota were elected as members.
The event also featured a cultural dialogue. Chief guest journalist and writer Prof. Purushottam Dahal stressed the need to connect literature with culture, while Srashta Samaj chair Shree Om Shrestha ‘Rodan’ highlighted the importance of attracting the younger generation in cultural preservation.
Speakers included Pawan Alok, Prof. Dr. Jeevan Adhikari, Chinimaya Majhi, Rishabhdev Ghimire, and Madhu Pathak.
