Mithila artist Ranju Yadav’s solo art exhibition was held in Finland on Sunday. The one-day painting exhibition took place in Helsinki, the capital of Finla nd, and was organized by the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Finland. This marked the final exhibition of Yadav’s current European Art Tour.
A total of 40 Mithila artworks were displayed during the exhibition. Her paintings not only highlight the positive aspects of Nepali society and culture but also critique its negative elements.
Yadav embarked on a 33-day art tour across Europe on April 18 to showcase her Mithila art in Germany, Denmark, and Finland.
Her solo art exhibition premiered in Frankfurt, Germany, on April 20. Following that, her paintings were exhibited at the Nepal Embassy in Berlin for a day. Subsequently, a two-day solo art exhibition was held in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, on May 11 and 12.
In addition, artist Yadav conducted a one-day Mithila Art Workshop on May 10, organized by NRNA Denmark, where she taught around 50 Nepali and Indian children and their parents how to create Mithila paintings.
