Ramesh Kshitij’s Story Collection ‘Euta Mayi Nagarma Released’

Author Ramesh Kshitij’s story collection Euta Mayi Nagarma has been released. The collection was launched by Pavitra Raj Nyaupane at Nepal Academy in Kamaladi.

Speaking about the collection, writer Kumar Nagarkoti described Euta Mayi Nagarma as a remarkable achievement in Nepali fiction. He mentioned that the book contains 17 unique stories, ranging from social realism to surrealism, and from magical realism to the world of AI. “It has a different craft and style compared to the stories we are accustomed to reading,” Nagarkoti said.

Author Kshitij shared that he ventured on a challenging task of story writing while he had been writing poetry for 40 years. “I have always preferred to stand apart from the crowd, and I tried to write these stories in a distinct way. If publisher Bhupendra Khadka hadn’t persistently encouraged me for a decade, I wouldn’t have written these stories so soon,” he remarked.

During the event, singer Bishwo Nepali’s group performed songs based on Ramesh Kshitij’s works, including “Namaga Ma Sanga,” “Aphulai Bhulirahen,” “Ankhabhari Hiuchuli,” “Achanolai Thaha Hola,” “Batuwa,” “Dashain Samjhe,” and the title track of the book Euta Mayi Nagarma.

The hard-cover book, published by BookHill, is priced at 750 rupees.
