Rajendra Ojha’s Poetry Collection ‘Abhilashaka Jharharu’ Launched

Poet Rajendra Ojha ‘Nayan’s poetry collection ‘Abhilashaka Jharharu’ has been launched. The book was unveiled by the Chancellor of the Nepal Academy Bhupal Rai during a literary event held at Siddhicharan Hall of the Nepal Academy.

Speaking at the event, Chancellor Rai emphasized that the Academy, as a scholarly institution, should be known not only among writers and authors but also among schools, colleges, and universities. Mentioning that poets and writers are not inherently corrupt, Chancellor Rai praised Rajendra Ojha ‘Nayan’s poetry collection for its simplicity and accessibility. He noted that while the poet’s emotions are unmatched, the refinement of poetry is only possible through continuous practice.

Dr. Kaushila Risal, a distinguished guest, member of the Academy’s Academic Council, and Head of the Department of Social Sciences, praised the poems in ‘Abhilashaka Jharharu’ for their unique style and originality. She remarked that some poems address class discrimination, love, and spirituality.

Critic Mahesh Paudyal, another guest, noted the abundant poetic potential in Ojha’s work. He highlighted the philosophical influence in Ojha’s poems and stressed that poetry is refined through extensive writing.

Author of ‘Abhilashaka Jharharu’, Rajendra Ojha ‘Nayan’, shared that he writes poems on psychological and philosophical subjects.

The launch event was chaired by Prof. Khagendra Ojha, President of Uniglobe College. He expressed his happiness over the launch of ‘Abhilashaka Jharharu’ at an academic institution like the Nepal Academy, noting that poetry expresses life’s experiences and personal feelings.

The program was conducted by poet Raju Bhattarai, and the poetry collection was published by Fusun Publication.
