Pulchwok Campus to Hold ‘Open Poetry Competition’

Kathmandu, January 22

Civil Engineering Students’ Society of Pulchowk Campus is hosting a nationwide ‘Open Poetry Competition’. The society has requested literature enthusiasts from across the country to submit poems for the competition, which will be held during a three-day event starting from Magh 20.

The society plans to award the winner and the two consecutive runners-up with the cash prizes 15,000, 10,000, and 5,000  rupees respectively along with certificates of honor in the competition.

Since its establishment in 2004, the society has been organizing the nationwide poetry competition annually, alongside various other programs.

The three-day program will feature various events among which ‘IOE Poetry Champ 5.0’ will remain the main highlight. In the competition, 15 poems will be selected in the first round. The selected poets will be called for the recital at a special event in Pulchowk on Magh 20, and the final decisions will be made public on the same day.
