Poet Prakash Sapkota’s new poetry collection Sannataka Suskera was launched in Kathmandu amid a ceremony organized by the Sunkoshi Literary Foundation. Sapkota currently resides in Denmark.
The book was jointly released by writers Dinesh Adhikari, Shri Om Shrestha ‘Rodan,’ Pawan Alok, Radheshyam Lekali, and Sushmita Nepal, Thakur Belbase among others. Speakers highlighted themes of social issues, patriotism, diaspora pain, and Nepali identity in the poems.
Though Sapkota could not attend, his written message was read by poet Bishwo Sigdel. The book, his fifth collection, features short and symbolic poems. Published by Sunkoshi Wangmaya Prathisthan and distributed by Bhundipuran Prakashan, the book is priced at NPR 250.
The event was chaired by Chabiram Silwal and hosted by Pradeep Sapkota.
