Pragya Paneru’s debut novel ‘Bishanu Re’ has been released. The book was launched at the Max Weber Library in Blacktown, Sydney.
The book was collectively unveiled by author Pragya Paneru, gazalkar Gyanuwakar Paudel, and Nepali professor at Tribhuvan University, Gargi Sharma, during an event supported by the Blacktown City Council.
The event also featured an hour long discussion led by writer Sanu Ghimire with the author Paneru focusing on the themes within the newly launched book. The discussion heighted the various events within the book, issues of gender consciousness, and the overall perspective and expression of the author.
While commenting on the book, author and critic Surendra Dawadi considered the book as an excellent example of modernization. He praised the psychological aspect presented in the book, from the use of psychotherapy to the rewriting of the character from the popular novel “Shirishko Phool” by the renowned Nepali author Parajat.
