London based poet Durga Prasad Pokhrel’s Unsung Songs, an anthology of poetry, has been launched on Thursday. The book was made release by Prof. Dr. Padma Devkota in a literary event held in Kathmandu.
The anthology contains 85 poems in English that deals with the various subjects like the poet’s expat experience, his concern towards the native land, the universal subject of love, nature, happiness and self- observation.
Published by Prashannata Pokhrel Publication and cover designed by Ramesh Poudel, the book contains 142 pages and is prices 300 rupees.
During the event, poet and critic Keshav Sigdel presented a critical review on the book while Dr. Nirmala Adhikari and Dr. Chintamani Yogi delivered welcome speech.
The event was attended by different writers, litterateurs and professors.
Previously, author Pokhrel’s literary publications include Amritka Thopa(Translated work from Sanskrit), Aksharka pailaharu( poetry collection) and Afai Sanga Afno Nata( Multak collection).
