Releasing a press notice, Nepal Natya Pratishthan, Pokhara, has announced to organize an event to mark the 121st Birth Anniversary of Balkrishna Sama. The event will be held at Gandaki Pragya Pratishthan, Pokhara on Saturday, Magh 27, 2080 BS.
According to the notice, the program will include the paper presentation by Prof. Dr. Ramchandra Pokharel and Dr. Ashok Thapa on Balkrishna Sama’s theatrical contributions, followed by paper presentation and discussion by theatre artist C.K Shrestha on his Nepali play “Heji, Aja Ra Voli”.
The press release also states that staging of the play ‘Bhrud’, written and directed by Kedar Nath Paudel will be an integral part of the event.
The program will also include felicitation of senior theater artists Man Bahadur Mukhiya and Harihar Sharma.
It has been informed that the program will be attended by distinguished theater personalities across Nepal and India.
Nepal Sangeet and Natya Pragys Pratishthan, Pokhara Prajya Pratishthan, Gandaki Pragya Pratishthan, and Indreni Theater are the main sponsors of the event.
