Poet Swarasati Timilsina’s Paila Pailama Tekera, an anthology of poems, has been released amid a literary programme organized by Tribeni Sahitya Prathisthan, Nabalparasi on Monday.
The anthology was jointly made public by Nepali Congress general secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa, poets Gobindaraj Binod, Dr.Nabaraj Lamsal, Prof. Dr. Nayaran Prasad Khanal, president of Nepali Congress, Chitwan Rajeshwor Khanal and the author’s mother Devi Timilsina.
Attending the event as the chief guest, leader Gagan Thapa said that politics and literature have their own ways. “Politics can involve anything, it has to suffer uncertain circumstances” he added, “but literature always chooses the right path and author Swarasati’s poems are inspired by that path of righteousness.”
Similarly, another speaker Govindaraj Binod appreciated Swarasati’s poetry for rightly representing the current Nepali society and its situation.
Poet Dr. Nabaraj lamsal admired the anthology as having a new form of humanity. “There is no snobbishness in the poems, the poet writes beyond the complexities of the society and gives a new vice of humanity.” he added.
The event also involved poetry recitation by different poets.
The event was presided over by the foundation’s chairperson Pro. Dr. Narayan Prasad Khanal and was hosted by journalist Lekharam Sapkota.
Published by Triveni Sahitya Prathisthan, the book contains 59 poems and is priced 111 rupees.
