Life was once bright, purposeful, and full of dreams. But never did he know that his life would change in a way he had never imagined. Poet and lyricist Nawaraj Neupane is now bedridden, battling cancer for a long time.
Three years ago, while working in Kuwait as a migrant worker, he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (blood cancer). Since then, Nawaraj has been undergoing treatment at Multi-Speciality Hospital, Jawalakhel, Lalitpur.
Originally from Sindhupalchowk, poet Neupane is a proven literary creative. He has several songs to his credit. He wrote the song Yatra for Anuprastha, along with Birami Ma, Aghi Badhi, Anta Katai, and others. He also remained a contestant in Poet Idol Season 1, even while undergoing treatment.
Yet, amid this difficult hour, Nawaraj hasn’t stopped writing. His poetry collection Sapanako Laharharu ( Waves of Dreams) has been published in five different volumes during his period of his illness. The book is priced at 500 rupees, and the proceeds are intended to support Nawaraj’s treatment.
