Makwanpur, Hetauda- based poet Deepak Mudbhari ‘Mitra’ has passed away. He died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Maryland, USA.
Born on Poush 8, 2018 B.S. (January 23, 1962) in Hetauda, Makwanpur district, he was active in poetry. He also published the quarterly magazine “Athot” from Hetauda that provided a platform for many writers through this magazine.
However, his poetry collection could only be published after he went to the USA. His sole poetry collection, “Kehi Aspashta Rekhaharu” (Some Vague Lines), was published in Magh 2074 B.S.
He also established the “Subhadra Devi-Madan Mudbhari Memorial Poetry Award” in the name of his late parents. This award, presented annually, is managed by the leading literary organization Sahitya Sangam Makwanpur.
He was awarded the “Sangam Sahitya Puraskar evam Samman 2081” by Sahitya Sangam Nuwakot.
He was preparing to publish his second poetry collection, “Kehi Atripta Sparsharu” (Some Unfulfilled Touches).
