No Light in His Eyes

Ronak Dahal

There is a man sitting on an empty bench wearing all dark
People with colourful outfits have also come to the park
The sun has blessed him with a day so bright
But clouds in his mind are too thick to let pass that light

The air has brought the fragrance of flowers
The birds have graced with the music for lovers
There are women and children singing in delight
But his lips are sealed too tight

Everything around is pleading him to live
Everyone around is wondering if he will give
They take a small glance at his face to see what lies
There is no light in his eyes.
