Night

Sushant Thapa

I feel the message in a bottle
That searches for a sea—to be found.
Do you see your cityscapes waking up?
The past wakes up like a speck
Turning into artful decorations;
It flowers on faded walls,
The love splashed
In names added
With plus signs in between alphabets.
Your yellow is my golden,
Do you preserve your grain of sand?
Do you allow eternity to slip through?
You can build a night castle,
Under the summer roof
Under the banyan tree.
This city flows like a boat
Where the harbor kisses the departure
Of longings.
The message of the night,
Is to dream well
In the enclosure of
Breezy summer memory.
