Nepal’s popular folk rock band Nepathya is set to fly on its three-city show tour in Japan. The band will first perform on 8th August, 2023 at Toyosu Pit of Tokyo and then is scheduled for its next show at Fukuoka Civic Hall, Fukuoka on 12th of August and finally at Namba Hatch, Osaka on 17th August. A band of fourteen members is heading towards Japan in the first week of August for the show.
Prior to this, Nepathya had performed at Tokyo Dome City Hall in 2018, while it was in 1998 when the band had its first show in Japan. The 2018 show has remained a milestone for the band that helped it earn a global recognition.
Speaking about the upcoming event, Nepathya front-man Amrit Gurung said, “We have many memories connected with Japan.” Recalling the earlier show of 2018, Gurung added, “Among those sweet memories, the love and support we received some years back at Tokyo Dome is unforgettable.”
The band has been always cheered and loved by the audiences of Japan. They have always received us with welcoming heart whenever we have been here, shares front-man Gurung.
Japan has become one of the attractive destinations of higher studies and employment for Nepali youths in the recent years. At such, hundreds and thousands of Nepali diaspora in Japan have been enjoying such musical performance out of love for their cultural identity.
