The Nepal Ghazal Foundation is set to organize the fourth series of its bi-monthly event “Ghazal Mushaira” on May 25. According to the foundation’s president, Lalkaji Shrestha, this edition will feature ghazal poets Bhuwan Bohora ‘Nistej’, Arya Ayusha, and Trupak. The event will take place at Sanskriti Sansthan, Rastriya Naach Ghar, at 12:30 PM and will have free entry.
Anjan Yatri, the foundation’s secretary, stated that along with two musical ghazal performances, a new ghazal book ‘Naad’ by Dr. Bhojraj Ghimire will be launched at the Mushaira.
Active in the campaign to refine Nepali ghazals, the foundation has been providing ghazal training through social media and organizing musical ghazal mushairas from time to time. Previously, the foundation completed a grand musical ghazal event on March 30. The foundation also announced that such a grand musical ghazal event will be held every year in March.
