Milan Sangraula’s Second Novel ‘Baavari’ Released

Author Milan Sangraula’s second novel ‘Baavari’ has been launched. The book was jointly unveiled by writers Praveen Khatiwada and Saguna Shah on Friday during the ongoing Kitab Jatra Literary Festival in Kathmandu.

The event also featured a discussion on ‘Baavri’ where writers Khatiwada and Shah shared their impression towards  the book.  Author Milan Sangraula shared that he spent five and a half years living with the story and characters of the novel to complete its writing. “The novel is closely tied to a period I experienced during my adolescence,” he added. “It is a love story that grew alongside the experiences of that time—‘Baavari.’ I am thrilled that this story, which I have longed to tell from the heart, is now in the hands of readers.”

Sangraula, who has previously written the short story collection ‘Chat Girl’ and the novel ‘Purpla,’ presents ‘Baavri’ as his third work. Published by FinePrint, the book is priced at 560 rupees.
