Mandala to Stage Play ‘Masinya’

Kathmandu, January 11

Mandala Theatre at Thapagaun is scheduled to stage play ‘Masinya’ from 11th -28th of Magh, 2080.

Directed and conceptualized by Buddhi Tamang, the play is woven around the hardship and struggle of Tamang, an indigenous community of Nepal.  According to the director Tamang the play is expected to raise various rights and issues of Tamang community.

Play ‘Masinya’ is jointly authored by Rabat Syangtang and Laxmi Rumba.  The writer duo said that the play reflects the aesthetics, trend, Damphu culture and context of Tamang community. Featuring Sunil Tamang, Rabin Dong and Ramila Moktan as lead artists, the play is currently undergoing through rehearsals at the central office of Nepal Tamang Ghedung, Bhoudha.
