Poet, writer, and naturopath Dr. Hariprasad Pokharel aka ‘Manasagni’ released his first essay collection titled Chaitanyabodh. The book was jointly made public during a ceremony attended by chief guest Prof. Dr. Govinda Raj Bhattarai and special guests Prof. Dr. Kumar Prasad Koirala, Prof. Dr. Hem Chandra Nepal, Prof. Dr. Laxman Prasad Gautam, and essayist Momilal.
Speaking at the event, Prof. Dr. Bhattarai praised the book for its lucid presentation of Eastern philosophy and Vedic wisdom. He considered the book to be an engaging and insightful read. Similarly, Prof. Dr. Hem Chandra Nepal described the collection as philosophically strong and empathetic in tone, while Prof. Dr. Gautam noted that its essays encourage self-reflection and introspection.
Essayist Momilal remarked that the book is worth reading and that it needs to reach a wider audience. Prof. Dr. Koirala added that Chaitanyabodh is a valuable resource for those interested in Eastern philosophy and thought.
Dr. Pokharel acknowledged that he had never intended to write beyond poetry, but credited Momilal’s inspiration for motivating him to produce the essay collection. Poet and critic Mahesh Paudyal also lauded the creativity of the essays.
