Story writer Gopi Mainali’s “Vishrinkhalit Sapana” has been launched. During a grand ceremony held at Anamnagar, Kathmandu, the book was made public by the former Chancellor of the Nepal Academy, Bairagi Kainla. The event saw a large attendance of various litterateurs, administrators, cinema personalities, and literary enthusiasts.
While unveiling Mainali’s short story collection, senior litterateur Kainla congratulated the author, acknowledging that the collection has brought a high-quality story to Nepali literature. He praised Mainali for presenting societal issues in a simple manner and wished for even more profound stories in the future. Kainla expressed his delight that another Mainali has delivered a story of the same caliber as Guru Prasad Mainali.
Speaking about the book, critic Prof. Dr. Lekh Prasad Niraula remarked that Mainali’s stories are of very high quality based on their words, structure, presentation, and themes. He noted that each story is a unique representation of human emotions and experiences. Recalling his own review of Mainali’s previous critical work, Niraula commented that Mainali’s expressions are refined and dense and provided an analysis of the story titles.
Similarly, critic Anita Koirala expressed that the stories are of very high caliber in terms of human sensitivity, psychology, social context, love, and affection.
