A four-day literary exchange program between Bangladeshi and Nepali writers was successfully held in Cox’s Bazar and Dhaka. Organised by Nepal Friendship Society, the event took place at the auditorium of the World Literature Center, with Member of Parliament Abdullah Al Kaisar Hasanat attending as the chief guest.
During the special literary program, the President of the Nepali Shrasta Samaj, Shree Om Shrestha ‘Rodan’, and Secretary Pawan Alok elucidated the relationship between the language, literature, and arts of Bangladesh and Nepal. Mr. Lyon Moshior Ahmed, President of the Nepal-Bangladesh Friendship Society, Second Secretary of the Nepali Embassy Mr. Yojana Bamjan, and Secretary of the Society Mr. Sallauddin Kutule had expressed heartfelt remarks on the close relationship between the two countries.
During thee poetry session, various Nepali and Bangladeshi poets including Devika Timilsina, Madhu Pathak, Dr. Shantimaya Giri, Lakshmi Reshamika along with Dr. Dilara Hafiz, Sheli Sengupta, Shafiul Alam Talukdar, Momin Mehdi, Vimal Guha, and Professor Dr. Najma Khan presented their poetry.
The program, chaired by the President of the Bangladesh-Nepal Friendship Society Mr. Lyon Moshior Ahmed, praised the literary and cultural contributions of both the countries. The event was also attended by Ishak Hussein, Muhammad Moshior Rahman, and Mahmud Khan Bijuli, who also appreciated the literary and cultural exchange between the two nations.
