I haven’t faced my own life as I should
Struggling with problems, where I stood,
You talk of the nation and society, my friend!
But here I am, unable to stand firm or mend.
Every time I strive to make life bright,
The outcome turns into something not right,
Every time I claim I’ll make a name
Life’s disgrace seems to add to the blame.
Until now –
I couldn’t be the son my parents desired
I couldn’t be the brother my siblings admired,
I couldn’t be the person the village had dreamed
I couldn’t find solace where solitude streamed.
Yet,
I’m still striving to find myself anew
Choosing hope’s light amidst despair’s hue,
As long as I breathe, I’ll continue this quest
To forget the past and build a future that’s blessed!!
