Kumari Lama’s ‘Darjyu Sanlaap’ Launched

Critic and Essayist Kumari Lama’s Darjyu Sanlaap has been recently launched at the Rastriya Naach Ghar. The book was jointly inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Arun Gupto, Dr. Bindu Sharma, Phulman Bal, publisher Pushparaj Paudel, and the author herself.

During the event, linguist Amrit Yojan expressed his good wishes. Chief guest Arun Gupto noted that the book provided him with knowledge on various topics and left a strong impression on him, stating that the local context and descriptions made him eager to visit the place firsthand.

Dr. Bindu Sharma highlighted the in-depth exploration of themes related to the earthbound people and women in the essays, noting that the narrative style makes it beneficial for all readers.

Phulman Bal commended the book, stating that while it may not focus on grand themes or major figures, it is well-written and of high quality. He congratulated the author for making a significant contribution by addressing the issues of caste and the fading identity of certain communities.

Author Kumari Lama expressed her commitment to putting forth her best efforts in the essays and welcomed creative feedback at all times.
