Poet Urmila Koirala’s anthology of poems, “Gham Mathi Ghamkai Kiran” has been released. The book was brought out by Sabda Media, the parent organization of the e-magazine Sahityapost.com. The book launch event took place at Reader’s Hub in Bhaktapur.
The event was chaired by Ashwini Koirala, the chief editor of SahityaPost.
The book was jointly unveiled by novelist and critic Dr. Ambika Aryal alongside Koirala.
The event also featured poetry recitations by poets Ranju Dahal, Saraswati Chimoriya, Shova Sharad, Bhagmati Dahal, Rabina Naral, and Laxmi Lama.
Author Koirala expressed her hope for readers to evaluate her book rather than herself. She also recited two poems from her anthology.
In her speech at the event, critic Ambika Aryal praised the enthusiastic attendance of women and expressed her happiness at being part of the event. Dr. Aryal, appreciating Koirala’s anthology for transcending mere gender discussion, emphasized that the book heavily focuses on human issues.
The program was hosted by writer and economist Keshav Thapa.
