Kayastha’s Short Story Collection ‘Jyu Hajur’ Released

Mohan Bahadur Kayastha’s short story collection Jyu Hajur has been published. This is his fourth work published in Nepal Bhasa. JHis earlier works in Nepal Bhasa include; Swaniglang Pine Bandipur, Taymaru Bakham, and Khwapnise Bandipurtak. In Nepali, he has edited works such as Yashaswi Devkota, Satyamohan Joshi: Vyakti Ek Abhivyakti Anek, Bandipurka Kavi Lekhak Sahityakar, and Samjhanama Bhanu.

Speaking about the book, author Kayastha mentioned that although he has been writing stories of various lengths since 2062 B.S. (2005 A.D.), he later focused on short stories.

Jyu Hajur contains ninety-six short stories that address contemporary issues such as various personal experiences, the anarchy caused in the bureaucracy due to political corruption, problems in family life, and differences between urban and rural settings.

The book has been published by Kutuh Pikaak.
